My name is Charnese Williams I am currently a student at Florida State University located in Tallahassee, FL majoring in hospitality and sustainability. My journey with Event Management began July 2016 with my cousin's wedding at The Lake Mary Event Center and I was asked to be an usher. With my passion for conversation and interaction with others, I would frequently communicate with the Day of Coordinator to see what I could do to assist her and so forth. By the end of the night, the catering company (River City Catering) that was apart of the Day of Coordinator team saw my work ethic and wanted me as the new addition to their team being both Day of Coordinator Assistant and Server. As time progress I began to get my feet wet more within Event Management industry to where the owners of River City would ask me to be the Day of Coordinator for some events as well as weddings. Unfortunately, my time with River City ended  August of 2017 in order to attend college, however, my passion to become an event manager still gave me the confidence and resiliency to reach out to different Event Coordinators. Today I am working closely with Miss Diane Bardhi who is the owner of Sweet Tea Events in Tallahassee, FL, although I have been working with her since October 2017 my experience from my former occupation has prepared me in how to think on my feet, paying attention to detail and using problem-solving skills.
